Jo Jones joined the Kōia te Mātauraka Team in November 2024.  With a varied background including administration, education and roles within the community.  With passion for supporting young people including neurodiverse, with their learning, challenges and building life skills.  Jo has been updating our databases, conducting research for resources including our Pop Ups, and building our Ngāi Tahu biography database to share the amazing history of Ngāi Tahu’s tipuna and taonga.

Jo is the mother of one, lives in Hornby, and actively involved in the sailing community mainly based at the Waimakariri Sailing Club as Vice Commodore, Race Officer and encouraging others to face new challenges progressing from learn to sail to competing regionally and nationally.
