My name is Rachel Tahuri, and I come from a small town called Wairoa, a place where everyone is whānau. I have been living in Hakatere for over 21 years, I have a small whānau of three—my husband Willy, our son Eru, and myself. We also have two pugs, Nalah and Tama, and their tuakana, our cat Mokai 😄

I have worked in and around the Hauora space, beginning my journey as a kaitiaki with Women’s Refuge, before transitioning into a Family Harm Practitioner role. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey with Koia te Mātauraka as a Te Tūhana Kaimahi, and I look forward to what lies ahead.
